ARC Learning and Life Skills - where success is doing the ordinary, in an extraordinary way, and learning is lifelong.
ARC Learning and Life Skills Program aims to assist people develop skills for living, learning and achieving, whilst having fun. Developing confidence is key to many of our programs, which are individually created with each person, to focus on working towards their dreams and aspirations.
Support can be provided :
- Individually (1:1)
- group activities
- Or a combination of both.
The ARC Learning and Lifeskills Program and ”Hub” has been seen as a unique and cutting edge response to the needs of people who have a disability to not only develop individual skills but to grow and develop in a supportive environment which encourages and values personal growth and confidence building as being integral to the ability to learn and develop social skills and emotional resilience as well as basic and more complex daily living skills. The program operates a successful arts program which has seen service user connection with and involvement in many local performances including Romeo and Juliet, CollaborARC, ARC Beats Drumming Group, The Junk Orchestra, and this year A Midsummer’s Nights Dream.
The Learning and Life Skills Hub was erected to provide a purpose built location for our group program. We apply for grants regularly as no funding for resources is provided, only individual funding. We provide volunteers to other organisations and businesses and also have volunteers that support us from schools and the community in general.
