Performing Arts Program

Individuals have the chance to explore their creative side and express themselves.  We support your dreams and aspirations whilst enhancing your skills and bringing out your talents. We have a broad range of performing and visual arts programs.

MUSIC PROGRAM

Engage in music appreciation through use of instruments, various music and some singing in a fun encouraging environment with various types of music and engagement. Gain skills in music, instrument playing, song writing, listening to music, music imagery, role play and music, singing, improvisation, composition, music and movement.

ARC TONES CHOIR

Learning various voice techniques, articulation and hearing pitch.  Work on    active listening and creating harmony. Possibility of working towards a  performance choice. Learn genres of music and types of songs, vocal techniques, expression, interpretation, action to songs, performance techniques. Good for beginners and serious singers.
 

          

FUN DRUM

 
We learn counting and core rhythm, structure. Fun games on the drum for  focus and coordination, active listening and group work.  Good for beginners and intermediate levels.

DRUMMING

For advanced drummers in advancing their skills and techniques of how to use a drum and how to play various types of rhythms.  Learn about the drum how to care for it, learning counting, hand, call & response techniques.    Participate in various performance opportunities throughout the Cairns  community.
 


 
 

DRAMA

We explore the body and voice in story telling connection.  We work on  articulation and development of clear speech.  We work on spontaneity and how to clearly express an idea. Learn how to express emotion, improvisation, learn stage directions, voice projection, breathing and effect on body within drama, posture, expression and mime.  ​

FREE DANCE

Learn about balance, how the body moves, counting, memory skills, agility,  coordination. Various dance routines and themed dances and movement, with beat and energy and simple moves to meet everyone's needs.
