Inclusive Education Resource Centre

The ARC Inclusive Education Resource Centre (IERC) facilitates equity of access for people with a disability to their educational and learning environments through the loan of educational, sensory and social/emotional toys, games and resources. The IERC also offer therapeutic items to facilitate and support learning in the classroom for students to meet learning goals and reach their full potential.

More About the ARC IERC

Families, teachers, therapists, and other community members can visit the centre in person during opening hours where an educational advisor is available to assist.

The Inclusive Education Resource Centre also has a mobile service for consults and loan of resources to community services, kindys, daycares, schools and play groups.

You can obtain resources from the IERC either in person, via the mobile service or online. Browse the catalogue or contact the IERC team to become a member.

"We’ve been big fans of ARC IERC for years, using their services in our clinic, and recommending them to families.  We love that we can borrow and trial such a great variety of resources that help us work on specific therapeutic goals.  And being able to change those toys over means the novelty effect doesn’t wear off, and children are more engaged.  We are also grateful to be able to ask for advice on fun activities and resources for using for particular needs.  Thank you so much to all the team at ARC Disability for helping us have a whole lot more fun in our work supporting children and families."

“The Mareeba and Atherton Hospital Allied Health clinicians (plus our patients and their families) love the travelling ARC IERC service! The resources are so well kept, easy to access and the range is forever expanding. If there is anything in particular we are after, Wendy goes above and beyond to source it for us. We have been using the service for years and will continue our subscription for years to come!”
